The 36th Annual National Conference on Race & Ethnicity in Higher Education is set to take place on the island of Oʻahu. Prepare for an enriching five-day event featuring captivating conference sessions, valuable networking opportunities, inspiring moments, knowledge exchange, and community engagement. Sessions will be hosted at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center.

Registration is open! Visit the registration page to find details, a preliminary schedule at-a-glance, and the link to register.

We acknowledge the ahupuaʻa or land division of Waikīkī, Kona district on the Island of Oʻahu, the ʻāina or land on which we gather. We also honor and give thanks to the Kānaka ʻŌiwi, the native people of Hawaiʻi who are the original inhabitants and caretakers of this land.

Without them, this Kānaka ʻŌiwi space in which we convene would not exist.

Pronunciation Guide:
Waikīkī:  Why – key – key
Kona:  Ko – nah
Oʻahu:  oh – ah – who
ʻāina:  eye – na
Kānaka:  kaa – nuh – kaa
Oiwi:  oh – ee – vee
