NCORE FAQs

NCORE 2022 will be held in person May 31-June 4, 2022, at the Oregon Convention Center (OCC). Answers to frequently asked questions are below; NCORE will continue to add more, so please check back!

What is a Pre-Conference Institute? 

Pre-Conference Institutes are an optional day of NCORE content; these in-depth sessions provide attendees with formidable takeaways in information and skill development. Should you choose to attend this day, an additional fee will apply. You will register for a single session you'd like to attend the entire day Tuesday, May 31st (some institutes continue the morning of Wednesday, June 1st).

Tell me more about payment.

Payment can be made online during registration by major credit card. Full payment is required to attend the conference. Accepted forms of payment onsite are major credit card or check/money order made payable to The University of Oklahoma. Cash will not be accepted as a form of payment. 

I registered earlier and want to provide payment before NCORE. How do I proceed?

Your confirmation email contains a modification link and confirmation number. Click the link, enter your registration confirmation number, and you will be taken to a page to enter a credit card.

What are your refund, cancellation, and substitution policies?

These policies are listed on our Terms and Conditions document and will be shown during online registration. 

What policies will be in place related to Covid-19, such as vaccination, testing, or masking?

NCORE will follow guidance and requirements set forth by local officials and the conference venue. NCORE continues to monitor for changes and will update accordingly. Check this page for the latest information. 

What food will be provided during the conference? 

Wednesday evening: Welcome Reception with hors d'oeuvres
Thursday morning: continental breakfast
Friday morning: continental breakfast
Saturday: closing luncheon

When is onsite registration / check-in open?

Monday, May 30: 1:00 PM-8:00 PM
Tuesday, May 31: 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
Wednesday, June 1: 7:45 AM-7:00 PM
Thursday, June 2: 7:45 AM-5:00 PM
Friday, June 3: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Saturday, June 4: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

Where is check-in?

Exhibit Hall B, located on the first level of the Oregon Convention Center. The best entry doors to the convention center are at the intersection of Oregon St. and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Does NCORE offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?

Yes; if you attend a Pre-Conference Institute, you will earn one CEU. If you register for and attend a Pre-Conference Institute, your CEU will be made available to you after the conference. 

Will the CEU be accepted by my particular discipline or association (social work, psychology, etc.)?

The CEU will be issued by the University of Oklahoma and is not associated with any particular discipline. We suggest recipients submit their CEU certificate along with a description of the session to the governing body (NASW, etc.) and ask if it meets their requirements. 


ACCESSIBILITY

 

How do I request accommodations for accessibility at the conference?

Every effort will be made to accommodate requests. Some accommodations require three to six weeks notice in order to schedule services and/or service providers.

Where can I find more information about accessibility arrangements?

Visit our Accessibility page for details and connect with NCORE staff in Room G132 in the Oregon Convention Center during the conference.

Will all gender restrooms be available?

Yes. See maps linked in the section below for locations at the convention center and Hyatt Regency hotel.

Where is the Prayer / Meditation Room?

Room G129 in the Oregon Convention Center (first level).

 

OTHER QUESTIONS

 

Will NCORE 2022 have a virtual option? 

There will not be a virtual or hybrid option to attend NCORE 2022. However, NCORE is planning a virtual event for Fall 2022. Details to be determined and announced.

Where can I view a map of the meeting space?

Maps will be in the printed Program Guide and conference app. Click following links for maps of the Oregon Convention Center and Hyatt Regency Hotel .

When will the conference app be available?

Approximately one week before NCORE. Check your email for an announcement.

What tips will help me prepare for NCORE?

  • Review the Program Guide and start identifying sessions that interest you.
  • Pack business cards for networking opportunities!
  • Friday is School Spirit Day - show your campus pride with t-shirts, buttons, and pins.
  • Take time to practice self-care throughout the week. Bring a journal. Find some outdoor space. Unwind!
