The Southwest Center for Human Relations Studies is looking for volunteer Tech Hosts and Moderators to work two (2) to eight (8) sessions during NCORE 2021 (June 7-11). At this time, applications are being accepted from University of Oklahoma affiliates, NCORE National Advisory Council members, and SWCHRS Executive Committee members.
Monday, June 7
Volunteer Tech Hosts must work the morning or afternoon session of a Pre-Conference Institute to receive FREE access to one full day of NCORE 2021 (Tue-Fri only), including keynote sessions.
Tuesday, June 8 - Friday, June 11
Volunteer Tech Hosts and Moderators must work two (2) sessions to receive FREE access to the remainder of the conference day, including keynote sessions.
FINE PRINT
- Volunteers cannot be registered to attend or present at NCORE 2021 the day of their volunteer shifts / incentive. No refunds will be granted to change volunteer eligibility.
- Volunteers must complete required training to earn the NCORE 2021 incentive.
- Volunteers who attend sessions but fail to work their scheduled shifts will be invoiced for the full conference day price ($100.00).

TECH HOSTS
Tech Hosts work behind-the-scenes and must have a solid understanding of hosting Zoom Meetings. Responsibilities include:
- Opening sessions at least 30 minutes before live broadcast
- Accepting Moderators, Presenters, Accessibility Service Providers (CART / ASL), and Participants from Waiting Rooms
- Coordinating NCORE PowerPoint, music, inclusion statement, polls, and breakout rooms during sessions (when applicable)
- Providing chat support during sessions
- Ending live broadcasts

3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (2.5 hours)
MODERATORS
Moderators are required to be on-camera and must have experience moderating Zoom Meetings. Responsibilities include:
- Introducing Presenters and Sponsors
- Moderating Q+A and providing commentary as needed
- Giving announcements, including accessibility information, updates on tech issues, and evaluation reminders
- Keeping sessions on track
- Concluding sessions on time
